The Martha's Vineyard Regional Airport (MVY) is serviced by USAirways, Delta, Jet Blue, and Cape Air.
By Ferry:
If you plan on staying longer or would like to have your car with you on island, you'll need to make a vehicle reservation in advance for the Steamship Authority Ferry. Those open mid-January (on or about January 17). (https://reservations.steamshipauthority.com/vehiclersvp/)
Passenger ferries go to one of three towns on the Island:
- Woods Hole, MA to Oaks Bluff or Vineyard Haven (destination depends on time of day) via Steamship Authority Ferry
- For schedules and more information: http://www.steamshipauthority.com/ssa/downloadsch.cfm?Port=WH
- Tickets purchased at Ferry terminal
- Also accessible by 2-hour bus ride on Peter Pan bus lines from Boston's Logan Airport (http://peterpanbus.com/)
- Quonset, RI to Oak Bluffs (http://vineyardfastferry.com/)
- A shuttle can be arranged for $15 per person from the Providence, RI airport or Kingstown, RI Amtrak train station to the ferry.
- Falmouth, MA to Edgartown on the Pied Piper (http://www.falmouthedgartownferry.com/)
- Seastreak (http://www.seastreak.com/)

Long-term parking is available at all of these locations.
Wedding activities will be based in Edgartown but it's easy to get there from other towns on the Island. The MV Transit bus is $2 to ride and shared cabs (like those in Jersey) are available at all the ferry terminals.
