Here are just a few of our favorite things to do while on the Vineyard... We cannot wait to hear about your adventures and fast favorites!
Around Edgartown:
- Coffee and breakfast at Espresso Love
- Humphrey's for lunch to go -- Best sandwiches in town!
- Farrell's favorite is the "Tree Hugger"
- Tom's partial to "The Italian"
- They also make "The Gobbler" -- Thanksgiving leftovers in a sandwich served year-round
- Picking up fresh fish (for Tom) from Edgartown Seafood
- Morning Glory Farm -- For baked goods (including zucchini bread to rival Mrs. Kircher's), Island produce, fresh-cut flowers, and so much more
- Drinks on the top deck of The Seafood Shanty or in a rocking chair on the porch of The Harborview Hotel
- Renting bikes from Wheel Happy to enjoy the Island's many paved paths
- Sunset sail on the MadMaxx -- Bring your own snacks and drinks to enjoy while you cruise Edgartown's Outer Harbor. They also do an afternoon sail around 2 pm.
- Charter Fishing -- a few boats leave from Edgartown
If you have a car:
- Take-out from The Back Door or dine-in at The Homeport in Menemsha during sunset -- BYOB for both!
- Brunch at State Road in West Tisbury
- Chilmark Chocolates
- Trustees of the Reservations beaches
- Long Point in West Tisbury
- Wasque on Chappy -- great for fishing!
The two newspapers on island -- The Vineyard Gazette and The MV Times -- both have calendar sections with ongoing and special events listings.
